Joint European Youth Forum and EP Youth Intergroup event
14th November 2013, 15.30 – 17.30
European Parliament, Brussels, Room P5B001
The situation is clear – a vast amount of internships in Europe lack learning content, payment and any quality criteria that enable a young person to benefit professionally from this first experience of the world of work.
The European Youth Forum and the EP Youth Intergroup want to share views on this topic with European employers, European institutions, and interns themselves. The event will showcase the results of a survey on internship conditions within the European Parliament itself, as well as the initial findings of a multi-stakeholder project on engaging businesses with the European Quality Charter on Internships and Apprenticeships.
This panel discussion between employers, Members of the European Parliament, the European Commission, and youth organisations will aim to highlight the significance of quality internships for both young people and employers alike, ahead of the expected Commission proposal on a quality framework for traineeships.
The event is held in the European Parliament so registration is necessary in order to gain access to the building. To do so, please register on the Youth Forum website through the following link, http://database.youthforum.org/registration, then for the event at http://database.youthforum.org/events/view/id_event/454 by Friday 8th November.

Brussels is a place where during the next five months (at least!), you will not run the risk of getting bored! Don't believe us? :)
Then check out the following link - https://mapsengine.google.com/map/embed?mid=zUEBdBoAi_lM.kGsaqIgXFs8E
In order to make sure that you'll always find the best locations, your Stage Committee put their heads together and created a map on Google with all the good places – cafés, bars, pubs, clubs, restaurants, markets, parks, museums, cultural centres, theatres etc. etc. J
It will also be posted on our Facebook group soon! As you can imagine, this map is a constant work in progress… so if you know any other locations you think should absolutely be included on the map, just drop us a comment on the soon-to-be published Facebook post with the name, address of the place and why it is that good :)
Have fun exploring the city! :)
